First Steps Children's Centre
"A Centre of Excellence"
Annual Social Events & Fundraisers
Easter Fayre
This event takes place in March/April usually just before Easter and is mainly fun activities, games etc. for the children. We have tea/coffee for parents along with a homemade cake stall and a raffle for a hamper or other prizes. This is a good social event for parents and staff.

Killen Sheep Dog Trials
First Steps provide teas for the local Sheep Dog Trials in June each year, an event well supported by farmers and people interested in this type of event. We also sell raffle tickets for a "Shepherds Crook" made by Tom Crowe (worth at least £150). Tom is a well known "stick maker" and the husband of our Centre Manager, Dolores.
Christmas Craft Fayre & Coffee Evening
Our Christmas Craft Fayre & Coffee evening is usually held in late November or early December and is well attended. We have various people who hire out a table to sell their crafts, we try to have a wide variety of stalls to interest everyone. Our own homemade cake stall is always popular. Supper is served and this is a great social event enjoyed by both children, parents & friends.
