The Pre, Pre-School Programme (PPSP) is a new developmental programme for this age group, which focuses on constructive, play in group settings, to enhance children's social and emotional development.

 

The programme also aims to build on their communication and language skills and encourage imagination through play. The programme for 2 - 3 year olds has natural links to both SureStart and Pre-School and will help to create a seamless transition to pre-school setting, as well as engaging with parents to provide a joint care and learning environment, and at the same time creating a home from home atmosphere for the child.

 

The room is situated in our new extension and is bright and airy with access to our covered outside play area. The room has been designed and furnished specifically for this age group and takes all their needs into account. It has a lovely kitchen area where snacks can be prepared and a separate toilet and changing area, easily accessed by the children as they learn to become independent in using the toilet and hand washing etc.
